How the online compiler works
- Choose a language in the menu at the top of the editor. The editor loads that language's starter program.
- Type input in the Input tab if your program reads any, then press Run. Output and errors appear below.
- Each language's own page (listed below) also has Share, a link anyone can run that is kept 90 days with no account, and Save, which keeps the code in a free account.
- A run can last 30 seconds with 512 MB of memory and 2 CPUs, and has no network access.
Checking a solution against several inputs? The online compiler with test cases runs them all at once and marks each passed or failed. To run code from your own app or site, the same languages are available through the API, free up to 100,000 runs a month.

Frequently asked questions
What is an online compiler?
An online compiler runs your code on a server and sends the output back to your browser, so you need nothing installed. This one runs 46 languages, from Python and C++ to Rust, Go and SQL, and takes input for programs that read it.
Is this online compiler free, and do I need an account?
Yes, it is free and needs no account or sign-in, and it shows no ads. If you want to run code from your own app or site, the API and the widget are free up to 100,000 runs a month, commercial use included.
Can I give my program input?
Yes. Type the input in the Input tab before you press Run and the program reads it from standard input. The whole input is sent when you press Run, so a program cannot ask for more while it runs.
Can I share or save my code?
Yes, on each language's page below the editor. Share gives you a link that anyone can open and run, lasts 90 days and needs no account. Save keeps the code in your OnlineCompiler.io account until you delete it.
How long can a program run?
Up to 30 seconds, with 512 MB of memory and 2 CPUs and no network access. A program still running at 30 seconds is stopped with exit code 124, and output over 64 KB per stream is cut.
