About OnlineCompiler.io
OnlineCompiler.io is a code execution API: your app sends code and input, and gets back the output, exit code, time and memory, or a verdict for each test case. Here's who builds it, who uses it, and how to reach the people running it.
By the OnlineCompiler.io team. Updated .
Who runs it
OnlineCompiler.io is a product of RunCode Inc., based in Plano, Texas, which also makes RunCode cloud development environments. RunCode Inc. sells the paid plans and is the company behind our terms and privacy policy.
It is built and operated by the engineering team at MicroPyramid, a software company with more than 12 years of work for clients in North America, Europe and Asia, and offices in Plano, Hyderabad and Sharjah. The engineers who write the API are the ones who answer support email.
Who uses it
The API has run code for developers since January 2025. More than 1,900 developers have signed up, and in September 2026 162 accounts ran 45,426 programs through it, in 46 languages.
They include course and LMS platforms, exam and assignment sites, coding-challenge and interview-prep apps, school code clubs, and AI assistants that run code through our MCP server. Most started on the free plan, and many still use it.
How it runs
- Every run gets a fresh gVisor sandbox with no network, as an unprivileged user on a read-only image. The security page explains the isolation and what we don't claim.
- Typical run times per language are measured on production and published in the compiler docs.
- API, language and plan changes are listed in the changelog.
- Endpoints compatible with Judge0 and Piston let existing apps switch by changing the base URL; see migrating from Judge0.
